Care guide

Before your appointment

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment.
  • Avoid blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen) for 48 hours before treatment if possible and safe to do so. Always consult your GP before stopping any prescribed medication.
  • Arrive with a clean face — no heavy makeup, particularly in the treatment area.
  • Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment.
  • Please inform us of any changes to your medical history, medications or allergies since your last visit.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, please let us know — most aesthetic treatments are not suitable during this time.

Care guide

After anti-wrinkle injections

  • Avoid touching, rubbing or massaging the treated area for 4 hours.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, saunas and hot tubs for 24 hours following treatment.
  • Avoid facials, saunas, steam rooms and sunbeds for 2 weeks.
  • Results begin to appear within 3–7 days. Full effect is visible at 14 days.
  • A complimentary 2-week review is included with your treatment — please book this at the time of your appointment.

Care guide

After dermal filler

  • Some swelling, bruising and tenderness is normal and expected, particularly with lip filler. This typically resolves within 3–7 days.
  • Avoid touching or massaging the treated area unless specifically instructed to do so.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for 24–48 hours.
  • Avoid extreme heat (saunas, sunbeds, hot yoga) for 2 weeks.
  • Sleep on your back for the first night if possible.
  • Final results are best assessed at 2 weeks once all swelling has resolved.

After skin boosters & Profhilo

  • Small bumps at injection sites are normal and resolve within a few hours.
  • Avoid makeup on the treated area for 12 hours.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
  • Results develop gradually over 4–8 weeks as collagen production is stimulated.

Is it safe to have aesthetic treatments?

When performed by a qualified medical professional using appropriate technique and products, aesthetic treatments have an excellent safety record. At Evolve, all treatments are carried out by a Registered Nurse and Independent Prescriber. We carry emergency reversal agents and follow evidence-based protocols.

What happens at a consultation?

Your consultation is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation. We will discuss your goals, assess your facial anatomy, review your medical history and explain the options available to you. There is no obligation to proceed with any treatment on the day.

How do I know if a treatment is right for me?

This is exactly what the consultation is for. We will assess your suitability for any treatment and give you an honest recommendation. If a treatment is not right for you, we will tell you — and suggest alternatives if appropriate.

What if I have a concern after my treatment?

Please contact us immediately if you have any concerns after your treatment. We take post-treatment care very seriously and will always respond promptly. Emergency contact details are provided at the time of your appointment.

Can treatments be reversed?

Anti-wrinkle injections wear off naturally over 3–4 months. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed — this is one of the reasons we only use hyaluronic acid products.

What age do I need to be to have treatment?

You must be 18 or over to receive any aesthetic treatment at Evolve Aesthetics Clinic. We will ask for proof of age if there is any doubt.
